MENTORSHIP

The Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work’s Mentorship Program matches experienced clinicians with those newer to the field.  The purpose is to support members in their professional development and career planning in clinical social work.  Program activities may include developing career strategies, discussing practice standards, identifying continuing education needs, clarifying ethical and legal dilemmas, expanding clinical skills, enhancing professional adaptability and facilitating collegial networking.

How Mentorship is Different

Mentorship is clearly differentiated from clinical supervision and psychotherapy and -in no case- is meant as a substitute for either of these processes. This is an educational program only.
