Decoding Cultural Narratives: Therapy with South Asian Women and Children Aisha Choudhry, LCSW

This workshop equips clinicians with culturally responsive tools to support South Asian women and children in therapy. Topics include the impact of intergenerational trauma and mental health stigma, culturally attuned intake and assessment questions, and strategies for balancing family involvement with appropriate boundaries. Culturally grounded interventions for child clients will also be shared, helping providers strengthen engagement and outcomes in this underserved population.
