Join the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work for our 2026 Annual Conference, a two-day experience exploring the evolving landscape of social work in a time of rapid technological change and innovative therapeutic practices that respond to diverse client populations. This year’s theme, Social Work Changing Times: AI, Ethics, and Innovation, invites social workers, mental health clinicians, and students to learn, connect, and reflect on the future of the profession.

Dr. Lucy Cannon
Dr. Lucy Cannon (she/her)

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Lucy R. Cannon is a nationally recognized behavioral health expert, consultant, and educator with over 40 years of experience in mental health, substance use disorders treatment, and clinical social work. She is the CEO of LEJ Behavioral Health Services, LLC, where she provides training, auditing, and consultation to help organizations comply with Medicaid, CARF, and Joint Commission standards. Dr. Cannon holds a Doctorate in Education with a Concentration in Counseling Psychology and multiple licenses and certifications, reflecting her deep expertise in the field.

Throughout her career, Dr. Cannon has served in leadership roles such as Director of Behavioral Health Services at Lutheran Services of Georgia, Behavioral Health Program Manager for Fulton County, and Clinical Auditor for APS Healthcare.

Sanders Jones
Sander T. Jones (they/them)

Keynote Speaker

Sander is a clinician, educator, and author based in Atlanta, Georgia, whose work sits at the ethical intersection of do-no-harm and embracing diversity. Sander specializes in the treatment of PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety/OCD, and relationship therapy, with particular expertise in working with relationship diversity, including consensual non-monogamy and kink/BDSM relationships.

For over 35 years, Sander has studied interpersonal and systemic forms of coercion, oppression, and manipulation that produce measurable psychological harm, and for the last 14 years, has brought a clinical lens to experiences that are likely to result in interpersonal trauma. Their work emphasizes that diverse identities and relationships can be equally fulfilling, loving, and supportive as those that conform to normative expectations.

CE Information

The conference will be approved for 12 continuing education hours for social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Attendees will earn at least five (5) Ethics CEs. *Professional counselors and marriage and family therapists’ continuing education approval is pending
