Treating Process and Substance Use in Young Adults Through the Attachment Theory Perspective, Presented by Christian Brown, LCSW, CAADC

This presentation will offer a perspective on the use of attachment theory in the treatment of addiction in young adults (18-35). There will be a focus on attachment style patterns in young adults and the “Gen Z” population. Real-life case studies will be utilized in exploring how to implement attachment-based interventions and methods for cultivating a more secure attachment to others. Specific emphasis will be placed on the role technology and social progression has had on substance and process addictions.
